SVRG Bake Sale

Posted on July 26, 2009, 10:40 pm, by Megan, under Roller Derby.

Reason #192,847,580,950 why I heart the Silicon Valley Roller Girls (SVRG): even though there are only two vegans in the league (myself and Smack); they make sure to have vegan treats for a bake sale fundraiser (even though I couldn’t attend because I had school, boo!). Steffen Razor made chocolate cupcakes with SVRG green frosting [...]

SF Renegade Craft Fair

Posted on July 24, 2009, 10:47 pm, by Megan, under Events, Favorite Things, Northern California, San Francisco.

Donna Diggler and I went to the San Fransisco Craft Fair last weekend. This year it was held at Fort Mason in the larger pier pavilion. The pavilion was crammed with tons of talented vendors and I was totally overwhelmed as soon as I stepped foot into the fair. Donna and I scampered from booth [...]

Tiki Crawl 2009

Posted on July 20, 2009, 11:30 pm, by Megan, under East Bay, Events, Northern California, San Jose.

Sorry folks! I have fallen behind on updating Say It’s Not Soy again. I just had two super busy weekends in a row and haven’t had much time in between to do an update. Two weekend’s ago was Tiki Central’s 9th annual Tiki Crawl. My boyfriend (Hanford) runs Tiki Central (a tiki social networking site) [...]

Yesterday Hanford and I went over to my parent’s house for a 4th of July BBQ. My parents also invited over my Aunt and some family friends. On the menu was veggie burgers, corn on the cob, bean salad, and two different types of potatoes (vegan potato salad and roasted rosemary). We also had watermelon [...]

Walt Disney World Trip | Planning Guide (part 5 of 5)

Posted on July 5, 2009, 11:35 am, by Megan, under Travel Guide, Walt Disney World.

When I was planning my trip to Walt Disney World (WDW), I did a ton of research on the vegan food available at the different parks. I was very surprised at the amount of options and how well Disney could accommodate a vegan diet. I wanted to share all the resources that I used when [...]

Walt Disney World Trip | Ohana (part 4 of 5)

Posted on July 2, 2009, 8:17 pm, by Megan, under Travel Guide, Walt Disney World.

My dinner at Ohana was hands down one of the best meals I have ever had. It was quite a challenge getting into this restaurant; all reservations were booked atleast a month out, if not longer (I called a month before my vacation and got nothing). My motivation behind wanting to dine at Ohana was [...]
