My summer blog break is over! I decided to take alittle time off blogging to really enjoy summer and to get out of the house more (I seriously spent most of my days glued to the front of my computer). Lots of fun stuff happened this summer: enjoying music and movies in the park, attending potlucks, going on classic cocktail crawls, and BBQing with my dude. I have lots to blog about, so keep your eyes peeled for vegan summer awesomeness.

Also some quick housekeeping news; I installed a captcha in the comments section to lessen the amount of spam that I receive. Nothing bums me out more then having to spend time deleting yucky spam! Seriously, I love donuts. I love donuts so much that I even have the limited edition Voodoo Doughnut tracksuit. Some of the best vegan donuts (at least on the West Coast) can be found at Seattle (Mighty-O), Las Vegas (Ronald’s), and Portland (Voodoo Doughnuts). It’s a shame that I don’t live close to any of those donuts!

My buddy Mark gave me a gift card to Target this last Christmas and I have saving it for something awesome. Last week I found donut pans on Target’s website. I ordered two of the pans and they came in the mail today, woo hoo! I decided to try out the chocolate cupcake recipe from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World with the pan since I don’t have any donut recipes. They turned out pretty wonderful and I can’t wait to try out other recipes.
